Spend a day in the country without leaving the city! This year, the Southlands Country Fair is happening on September 11, 2011 from 10:00 am til 5:00 pm, with gates open until 4 pm.

The fair is a family-oriented event featuring pony rides, a petting zoo, horse information centres, horse riding demonstrations, live music, an open-air market and much more!

Entry is by donation (we suggest $5) and once inside there are plenty of free events! A few of the activites, such as pony rides, require a small fee ranging up to $3. Partial proceeds are used to fund the Southlands Country Fair Summer Riding Program which gives underprivileged children access to riding lessons, as well as two local charities which run programs for disabled riders: Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities www.prda.ca and Southlands Therapeutic Riding Society www.stars.ponies.ca

Bring your friends and family, and join us rain or shine for a great time!
